Our Purpose

Founded in 2016, the School of Neuroscience aspires to be at the forefront of research and training in Neuroscience. Faculty in the school apply molecular, cellular, developmental, behavioral, and computational approaches to study the structure and function of the brain and nervous system. Our mission is also to be a world leader in delivering this discipline to our undergraduate majors, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees.  The final, yet equally important goal of the school is to promote and academically enriching and supportive climate that allows all members of our community to thrive and succeed. We envision the school as being a place where diversity, equity and inclusion are recognized as core institutional values that drive decision making.
